We've always considered this a "work in progress" CD version, because we didn't have access ot Robert's original recording, and had to actually make a recording of the tape set. Plus to get the material to fit on 3 CDs, we had to drop Robert's original introduction,
compress silence, and actually speed the recording up on two of the three CDs, ever so slightly.
The result was adequate, and fulfilled customer's desires for a CD version, as people moved away from cassettes... but we always had the intention of doing something better.
We'll continue to offer these CD sets at this discounted price, while supplies last.
